Oh my god funny story! so i was playing a jumpscare game and i died, so oviously i was like waah! or whatever, and then i started laughing. Now, i don't know what my mic did at that exact point, but this was part of the laugh! i was like woah that's creepy!! so yeah!.

A creepy clown laugh inspired from sweet tooth from twisted metal. Source is my own voice. I tried to match this to the original inspiration with the cackle-like formants that sweet tooth's laugh has, which has been said to been from a sound library by a female sound designer working for singletrac.

Slow echo for horror.

This is me groaning with a bunch of fx added, it sounds a little like a door creaking in a haunted house. It's a very unsettling sound especially when low in a mix.

I was showing my 1 year old my recording studio. He was laughing and talking so i recorded him to play it back. His reaction was as wonderful as i could have hoped. This was recorded in my home studio, on a cad e100s microphone. Recorded in audacity, i copied the clip, lowered the pitch, stretched, added reverb, and reversed the audio. I also normalized to -3db.

Scary spimd.

Inspired by a strange japanese number station i heard around 2012. I generated white noise, recorded an old toy, and found some public domain static and put it all together in this extremely eerie piece. It gets even creepier if you lower the pitch.

Recorded some sounds, filtered out the noize, reversed it and put paulstretcher on it. Had to amplify the bass, because there was an incredibly awkward high-pitch sound in the background. What if we could hear sounds from another planet ?. In this imaginary place, people can visit zoos under water. Here is the sound of a yhtem, recorded by a visitor from inside his personal submarine. The recording device was found by a member of the zoo staff, as it was floating over the water. It gave no more informations about what happened to the visitor, except that according to several monster's specialists, the yhtem « sounded hungry ». In the real world, this sound was created using the sound of a very brief scream. At the background was a noisy street, and some cars were passing by. I used two different screams and mixed them, before decreasing speed and tempo in audacity. -. Xson « cannelé ». Le son « d'arrière plan » est étouffé, plutôt doux, mais il y a des « accents » rugueux, acides, lors du grognement. L'attaque est graduelle. On distingue quelques notes, différentes hauteurs. Variation scalaire.

This is a horrible accident caused by putting an image file into audacity. Don't ever, ever do that. I mean it. :p.

I growled into a mic, then simply lowered the pitch using audacity.
